Cambridge Building Society

This building society has been established to serve savers and borrowers since 1850, is head office and 5 further branches are based in the centre of Cambridge with branches throughout the East Anglia Region including Newmarket, Ely and smaller towns and villages.

The Buy to Let mortgage can lend up to 70% of the property value and can be taken at a fixed or discounted rate for two years after which it will switch to the Cambridge Commercial Base Rate. Other mortgage products include -

Cambridge Building Society Mortgage Products

Cambridge Variable Rate Mortgage: You can borrow up to 75% of the value of your home. Monthly repayments will fluctuate depending upon the Bank of England Base Rate.

You can make extra payments towards the outstanding loan or repay the whole amount with no penalty charges imposed -this can really reduce the length of your mortgage term and make a substantial difference to long term financial planning.

Two, Three or Five Year Fixed Rate Mortgage: These products can provide up to 90% loans but the amount of deposit you are able to provide will determine the interest rate that you pay. Interest rates and monthly payments will be fixed for the whole agreed period, at the end of your fixed rate agreement you will transfer to the Cambridge Standard Variable Rate.

You can overpay by up to 10% of the outstanding balance each year but partial repayment above this amount or whole repayment will incur a penalty fee.

Two Year Tracker or Discounted Mortgages: These mortgages enable you to borrow up to 90% of the value of your home and monthly payments will be discounted against the Society's Base Rate for two years. At the end of this two year period you will switch to the Cambridge Standard Variable Rate and overpayments or full repayment will be possible without any charge.
